Club Welfare Officer

Spotswood Football Netball Club would like to introduce Dave Fuller as our Welfare Officer

Dave has been working with the club since 2021 and his bio is as follows.  Please feel free to make contact with Dave at any time and all discussions are confidential.

“My name is Dave Fuller and I am an accredited Chaplain with Sports Chaplaincy Australia (SCA) This body supervises thousands of volunteer chaplains across Australia at both the elite level (AFL, NRL, NBA) and local suburban clubs. A sports chaplain offers pastoral care to the people of a club community without fear or favour. I bring over 30 years’ experience as an Anglican priest, school chaplain and youth worker to the role. I live in Spotswood and my ‘day job’ is the Anglican minister at St Mark’s, Spotswood on Melbourne Road. Our family moved here in January 2021. I am married with two young adult children.

People can come and talk with me about any issue and it will be handled in a confidential manner. However, I am required by law to report any matter related to the abuse of a minor that may come my way. I will always interact with the parents or guardians when dealing with a child under 16 years of age. I can be contacted on 0416 182 461. I seek to pop into training sessions and weekend games as much as possible during the season and look forward to getting to know you. You may see me with my trustee dog, a border collie cross-Panda. I am a lifelong supporter and current member of the Richmond Football Club. I am the current President of the Melbourne Chapter of God’s Squad CMC and love riding my Harley-Davidson with my mates.”
