SFNC is delighted to have Steve O’Bryan as it’s senior coach for season 2025.
Steve played with SFNC right up until last year when injuries took their toll and he made the decision that his playing days were over.
He spent seven years as a senior coach and coached two premiership. He had also played in the Victorian Football League.
O’Bryan stopped coaching in 2018 due to factors outside football and was content finishing his playing days as just a player.
With life settling down, he now has the opportunity to get back into coaching and take SFNC into the finals for the first time since 2019.
Theo has played over 400 games for the Spotswood Football Netball Club and was given life membership to the club in 2023.
Theo is a Spotswood premiership player and was also named as the WRFL’s Women’s coach of the year back in 2019 when he coached our senior women’s team to a premiership.
Shane Murphy has accepted the position of Division 1 U18.5 mens coach beginning next season 2025.
Shane’s coaching resume is extensive and includes many years as a senior men’s coach in and around the west. In 13 seasons of coaching Shane’s teams reached the finals in 10 times and included 5 Premierships from 5 Grand Finals.
Shane has been involved as a coach at the VFL level, as a Development Coach and Senior Assistant coach at both the Werribee FC for 3 years and Williamstown FC for 4 years.
Shane was also involved as an assistant coach with the Spotswood Football Netball Club for the past 2 years.
Mel Prismal as accepted the position of Senior Netball Coach for season 2025.
Mel will be a playing coach and is new to SFNC in 2025, with extensive experience as a Centre, wing defense and wing attack.
GDFL – 250+ Games and 7 Premierships and inter-league rep with Werribee Centrals
VNL (Victorian Netball League) – 50+ games with Melbourne University Lightning
GFL – Lara runner up BnF 2015
Numerous Leadership positions, including A Grade Co-Coach Werribee centrals 2017, C grade coach 2018/23
Keith is an ex-WRFL player passionate about developing Girls and Women’s football. Over the past 6 years, Keith has been involved in coaching his daughter Ella in Girls Under 12, 14 and 16 Girls Football,
Cam has coached numerous teams for Spotty in the junior grades and takes his first step into the senior ranks.
Daniel will be coaching the U16s. His 6th year of coaching junior football at Spotswood. Daniel was appointed U10s coach in 2019 & has been a volunteer at the Club since 2017. Daniel played 130+ games in the Victorian Amateur Football Association & coaches & plays cricket. He has two children at Spotty, Mitchell & Callum. Daniel’s better half, Denise is also involved at SFNC with game day roles “Coach Slatts” is super keen to have a Friday night game under lights at Spotty next season & is looking forward to the challenges that the new season brings.
